Feature Enhancements
Clearer Preview Mode Experience
Preview mode now opens with a notice card over the map instead of a dark bar across the bottom of it. The card explains what preview is and how long the session is good for, and it stays up until you select Got it, so the message is hard to miss. After you dismiss it, a small status pill floats on the map with a live countdown, and selecting the pill reopens the full notice. The card appears once each time you load a preview page, and it waits for the cookie consent banner to be closed first.
- Search awareness: The notice now tells reviewers that search changes are not included in preview and that results update after you publish, so nobody reports search as broken while reviewing.
- Time remaining: The countdown always shows a real duration now, such as "14 minutes," and "less than a minute" in the final minute.
- Signed-in previews: A preview opened while you are signed in does not expire, so no time limit or timer is shown.

Google Analytics: New & Updated Events
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) now reports two more visitor actions, and Marker Open now ensures each location open only counts once.
- Rotate North (new event): Fires when a visitor selects the compass control to reset the map to north. It does not fire for other rotation.
- Zoom Control (new event): Fires when a visitor selects the on-map zoom in or zoom out buttons, with the event label Zoom In or Zoom Out. It does not fire for scroll wheel, pinch, or cluster zoom.
- Marker Open (changed event): No longer fires again when a desktop visitor returns to a location with Back from directions. Now fires only when a location is newly opened, from the sidebar, a balloon or map marker click, or a link that opens a location on load.

Marker Openwill likely have lower - this does not indicate less usage, but provides more accurate representation of actual location views.

Additional Updates
- Bullet style in descriptions: Unordered lists in location and tour stop descriptions now use solid disc bullets at every nesting level, with indentation showing depth, in the CMS editor and description views, in public map balloons, and in Localist event descriptions. Numbered lists are unchanged, and maps with custom theme CSS for lists keep their own bullet style. This change also applies to feed created locations.
- 360 model textures: Higher-resolution textures now load based on how close the camera is to each model, so they load reliably when you zoom in quickly or when a model's center is off screen. This applies to the public map and the CMS 360 view.
- Security: Updated third-party packages in the CMS to address vulnerabilities found in routine dependency scanning.
