Overview
Review your Localist Events filters and sample events to identify labels, overlap, or gaps that make classification harder. This prompt starts with up to three improvements and shows how example events would be classified afterward.

Before you start
Provide only public information or information your organization has approved for the AI tool you choose. Review any export before sharing it and remove private or internal information that is outside that approval.
| Input | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Required: organization and audiences | Identify your organization and the people who need to find events. |
| Required: current filters | Provide each filter family and its items, preserving the current hierarchy and names. |
| Required: sample events | Include a representative set of events and their assigned filters, with enough event detail to assess classification. |
| Optional: usage data | Add the date range, coverage, and any limitations of the usage information. |
| Optional: contributor guidance | Provide current classification rules or examples of confusing cases. |
To gather event examples, you can export live events from Admin Dashboard > Events > Live > Export CSV, or paste the relevant details. The export steps are also documented in Event Statuses. State the sample period and what it covers.

Help me improve the filters in our Localist Events Calendar so visitors can find relevant events and contributors can classify them consistently.
Briefly state what supplied content and sources you reviewed, what you could not access, and any limits on the review. Do not present a sample-based review as a complete audit.
Organization: [name]
Intended audiences: [audiences]
Current filter families and items: [paste or attach]
Sample events and their assigned filters: [paste or attach]
Usage data, if available: [add data]
- Start with up to three impactful, prioritized improvements addressing unclear labels, overlap or missing coverage. For each recommendation, identify the affected filters, explain the issue using the supplied examples, recommend a change and show how example events would be classified afterward.
- Preserve useful distinctions. Don't declare a filter unused or recommend removing it solely because it is absent from the sample. Flag evidence gaps and questions we should resolve with contributors.
- Use only public or organization-approved information I provide. If you cannot access a link or upload, ask me to paste the relevant content. Ask for missing information rather than inventing facts or product capabilities. Provide recommendations for my review; don't assume you can make changes to the product. Clearly flag uncertainty and remind me to verify the output before acting.
- Finish with a checklist for reviewing the recommendations before implementation.

- Check the evidence. Confirm that each suggested change is supported by the supplied events and audience needs.
- Test classification. Have contributors classify the same examples using the proposed labels. Resolve unclear or overlapping choices.
- Review the wider impact. Preserve useful distinctions and check existing assignments before reorganizing filters. Absence from a sample does not establish that a filter is unused.
Use Filters to review the available controls and the effects of filter changes. See Filter Auditing for related review guidance.
Tips for Success
Choose events from different contributors and event types, and disclose the limits of the sample. Review the first recommendations with the people who classify events before changing shared labels.
