Overview
Turn your Channel's audience and content goals into a proposed event-list setup for Localist Events. This prompt starts with up to three configuration recommendations, explains the evidence for each, and produces a checklist to compare with the actual preview.

Before you start
Provide only public information or information your organization has approved for the AI tool you choose. Review any export before sharing it and remove private or internal information that is outside that approval.
| Input | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Required: Channel purpose and audience | Explain who the Channel serves and what its event list should achieve. |
| Required: inclusion and exclusion rules | Describe the events and date range to include, plus examples that should stay out. |
| Required: existing classifications | Provide relevant filters, Groups, Departments, Places, Tags, or Keywords actually used on your events. |
| Required: settings and documentation | Supply the current event-list settings as screenshots or text, plus relevant current product documentation. |
| Required: test events | Include examples that should appear and examples that should not, with their dates and classifications. |
Use the Channels article as a starting reference, and provide the settings available on your own calendar. A calendar or Channel URL alone may not give the AI tool access to configuration details.

Help me plan an event list for a Channel in our Localist Events Calendar.
Briefly state what supplied content and sources you reviewed, what you could not access, and any limits on the review. Do not present a sample-based review as a complete audit.
Channel purpose and audience: [details]
Events and date range to include: [details]
Events to exclude: [details]
Existing classifications: [paste or attach]
Current settings and relevant documentation: [screenshots, text or links]
Sample events that should appear or stay out: [examples]
- Using the supplied documentation and settings, start with up to three priority recommendations for a simple event-list configuration. State whether these recommendations form a complete setup or whether additional decisions are needed before it can be configured. Explain each proposed setting, what it controls and which source supports your recommendation. Identify any event-classification changes needed separately from configuration changes.
- Don't invent controls or assume how multiple criteria interact. If documentation is missing or unclear, identify what needs verification before recommending a setting.
- Provide a preview checklist showing the expected result for each sample event and what to investigate if the result differs. Don't treat predicted results as tested results; flag unexplained behavior before publishing.
- Use only public or organization-approved information I provide. If you cannot access a link or upload, ask me to paste the relevant content. Ask for missing information rather than inventing facts or product capabilities. Provide recommendations for my review; don't assume you can make changes to the product. Clearly flag uncertainty and remind me to verify the output before acting.

- Verify each control. Compare every recommendation with the actual settings and current documentation. Resolve unsupported assumptions about how criteria interact.
- Test expected events. Check the real preview against each inclusion and exclusion example, including the relevant dates.
- Separate the changes. Distinguish event-classification changes from event-list settings. Resolve unexplained results and any remaining setup decisions before making the Channel available.

Tips for Success
Begin with one event list and clear positive and negative examples. Keep predicted results separate from results you have checked in the preview, and record any conditions the first recommendations do not yet cover.
