Wayfinding 2.0 Updates
We continue to implement feedback and iterate on Wayfinding 2.0, which has received a few updates:
-
The UI provides clearer instructions and tooltips throughout the Wayfinding 2.0 experience.
-
Wayfinding 2.0 will now provide instructions on how to get to the beginning and end of the route if the pins don’t exactly line up on the path.
-
The Wayfinding 2.0 route will now display with some space around the route so users can easily see the complete route.
-
The share button for Wayfinding 2.0 directions is now available all the time at the top of the sidebar
Sometimes visitors will place the Wayfinding pins not exactly on a pathway. Wayfinding 2.0 will show them how to get to the route.
The Wayfinding 2.0 route shown on the map will display with more spacing around the edges to ensure visitors can see the whole route more easily.
The Share button has moved to the top of the Wayfinding 2.0 sidebar for easier access.

Wayfinding Updates for Sharp Turns

Route Builder Preview Mode
In order to allow customers to test routes prior to making them live, we expanded preview mode to the Route Builder! Preview will last 30 days instead of 15 minutes! You can now take that URL and share it with users to test the routes while navigating the actual campus.
Autocomplete Search Results for General Search
As part of beta testing for Wayfinding 2.0, it was found that search results between Wayfinding Search and the general Map Search varied slightly. We resolved this and were able to give our General Search some nice improvements along the way!
This includes Autocomplete Search Results for the map. We added a submit search button to help differentiate between the dropdown options and search all. Lastly, we cleaned up the search user experience when a user is clearing or exiting the search results list.
Admin Access to 360° Maps Builder
Client Admins can now be given access to 360° Maps Builder through a new CMS role. If given access, they can get to 360° Maps Builder from their map’s account page.
All Admins will be able to access 360° Maps Builder from their map’s Account page.
See Multiple Localist Events in Locations
