AI Generated Event Descriptions

Event authors now have access to AI-powered description generation when creating or editing events. Clicking the "AI Generate" button opens a configuration modal where you can:

  • Provide context about your event via Event Types, Groups, Departments, and any other event classifications
  • Choose tone and length preferences
  • (Optional) Refine an existing description to use any content you may already have drafted

The system generates 3 description options for you to choose from, making it easier and faster to create compelling event descriptions.

 

Usability Updates

  • Improved the featured events carousel display on mobile devices so navigation controls consistently appear at the bottom and the carousel no longer scrolls within the page.

Accessibility Updates

  • Resolved Safari VoiceOver inconsistencies with the skip to main content link to ensure reliable navigation for screen reader users.
  • Updated widget buttons to display "View Event" instead of "I'm Interested" and improved accessible labels to include event names for a clearer screen reader experience.

Customize Styles of Extended Header Search

You can now customize the search bar appearance in the extended header theme to better match your brand. This update adds the ability to customize both the search bar background color and text color, giving you greater control over your calendar's visual presentation and ensuring consistent branding across your event pages.

 

Accessibility Updates

  • Added accessible name and label for the description’s toolbar in the Public Event Submission Form.
  • Fixed "I'm Interested" popup to improve screen reader compatibility.
  • Corrected headings hierarchy in the User Dashboard section.
  • Fixed Register checkout Promo Code field to improve screen reader compatibility.
  • Resolved label issues in the Widget builder interface.
  • Corrected heading order in the User Dashboard for proper structure.
  • Added clear labels to Public Event Submission Form’s filter dropdown menus.
  • Improved border contrast for search input and "Log in" link in the Extended Header to meet WCAG standards.
  • Enhanced search placeholder text contrast in both Base and Extended Header themes for better readability.
