SMS in Localist
We have added SMS support in Localist! With our new Bulletin - Outreach with SMS, you now have access to a new, direct channel for promoting to and engaging with your event attendees. This update expands Localist’s communication capabilities, allowing you to reach your audience more effectively.
You can use SMS in two main areas:
Promotions - Send messages targeted to attendees for specific event instances
Bulletin Campaigns - Reengage previous attendees via SMS with upcoming events you think they’ll be interested in
Bulletin - Outreach with SMS brings a couple key benefits over traditional email:
- SMS is great for time sensitive updates. As your event approaches and you have updates to send out, attendees are more likely to get your messages if you send them directly to their phones.
- Similarly, attendees are more likely to open text messages. Your events will reach a wider audience if you connect with them on their phones.
- Letting folks know they have an event coming up reminds them and increases attendance.
Incorporating SMS into your event marketing strategy will significantly increase the reach and success of your events. Reach out to your Client Success Manager or support@concept3d.com to check out SMS today!
You can create SMS promotions directly from your event.
You can now create SMS Bulletin campaigns as well. Your current SMS usage will display where you manage your campaigns.
Users can enter their phone number on their profile page to receive event updates and promotion texts.
Attendees can also enter their phone number to receive updates for the event they’re purchasing tickets for.
Updates to Event Promotions
We’ve improved Event Promotions in two main ways:
Promotions is now under “Attendee Engagement” while you're creating and editing events. You now have more space to work with to craft your communications to attendees.
Clearer errors when Promotions are scheduled with invalid dates and times.
(ADA) Clearer, Multiyear Date Ranges
If you use assistive technology like JAWS and VoiceOver, you now have access to clear labels for the date range buttons. The year has been included in the label now, making it easier to understand date ranges that span or are adjacent to multiple years.
The accessibility labels for the previous and next date range buttons have been updated to include the year.
