New Features
New Localist Extended Header
We’ve rolled out a brand new, “Extended” header layout! This new option gives you more flexibility to add custom links and dropdown menus to your calendar’s header. Theme Developers can now easily manage header links, reorder them, and create dropdowns for a more engaging and informative user experience with your Localist calendar.

You can enable the new Extended header option under Theme Settings in Admin.

Extended header adds a secondary header, creating space for your links in the top bar.
Accessibility Updates
Improved color contrast for the following elements:
- Info and error popups
- Register ticket labels

New Features
Sales Tax Management and Reporting
There are a few new updates to Localist Register and Sales Tax Support:
- You can set a default tax product for event tickets, ensuring tickets automatically use the most appropriate tax code and calculation method for your institution.
- You can easily see sales tax collected in the global Register metrics report
- You’ll be warned when creating tickets that require an event location but no address has been provided
- You’ll be warned when you enable taxable tickets but Stripe Tax hasn’t been enabled for the associated payout account

The default tax product can be set on your platform’s Register settings page in Admin.

Sales tax collected will show in the global Register metrics report in Admin.
Updated Speaker Management Permissions
Roles and permissions have been adjusted for speaker management:
- Event Editors can create, edit, and delete speakers
- Event Authors can only create speakers
