Overview
The Saved Places feature lets mobile users drop a pin and save a specific spot on your interactive map, perfect for remembering where you parked, meeting up with friends, or marking a temporary location.
What you can do
With Saved Places, you can:
- While on a mobile device, create a saved place such as a Parking Spot or Custom Location by dropping a pin on the map
- Give your custom location a name and description.
- View your Parking Spot or Custom Location in a My Places drawer.
- Use directions to and from a saved place.
- Share a saved location with others via a link.
How to get started
Saved Places needs to be activated by us here at C3D before you'll see it in your CMS. Please reach out to Support@concept3d.com or your Partner Success Manager to get started.
How to Save a Place
- When Saved Places is enabled on your map, you can select a place type by clicking the Place icon in the bottom right of the screen or the ‘More’ button in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select a Place Type such as a Parking Spot or Custom Location
- Drag the location marker on the map to your desired location and click Next.
- Give your custom location or parking spot a name and description then save.
- Your saved spot will now appear on the map with the icon you selected.
Viewing and Managing Saved Places
- Tap the Location Icon or select ‘My Places’ to open your list of locations.
- From here, you can access locations, delete locations, or get directions back to any saved location.
Privacy and Storage
Saved Places are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
This means:
- Only you can see your saved places on your device.
- Clearing your browser data will remove your saved locations.
- Your actual location is not saved or shared.
