- Note: category settings can al impact visibility on the map
6. Click the add marker icon and then click the location on the map to drop a pin where the label will display
7. Save the label, and publish your changes on the Labels tab in the publish sidebar
- The publish tab has two sections, “Content” and “Labels”
- The labels section will show labels themselves and updates to label styles
8. Your new Dynamic Label is now visible in the CMS and on your front-end map
Best-Practices
"Always On" ability - By using the Hidden from Sidebar and Default Display category settings, you can make sure your labels are always displaying on front end map
- Make sure Hidden From Sidebar is set to Yes - this prevents visitors from toggling the label on or off
- Next, make sure Default Display is set to Yes - this means the label will be toggled ON when loading the map
- Since the label is on by default, and cannot be toggled off - this creates Always On functionality.
Toggle On/Off? - When deciding if you should allow a label to be toggled on/off by the visitor, it's important to note
-
- Anything that can be toggled turns OFF in search
- Labels may not show in Share URLs unless toggled on when generated
