Bulk Upload for Categories

You now have the ability to Bulk Upload your Categories in the Interactive Map, just like with Locations!

• Categories can be uploaded in the same way as locations, just with a separate template

• There is a new option for Category Bulk Upload in the bulk upload tab in the CMS 

• Majority of settings can be set in the upload, but there are a few outliers that will need to be updated after the fact (like zoom visibility or adding custom icons) 

• Check out the template for detailed instructions on how to use and which settings are included

How to Use the Bulk Upload Tool in Map CMS

1. Make a copy of the Blank Sheet tab found along the bottom of this template right here
   
2. Fill in your category information. All columns in this template with an * must be included for a successful upload (see Descriptions / Legend tab for additional information)
   
3. Export the spreadsheet as a CSV
   
4. Login to the CMS at https://cms.concept3d.com
   
5. IMPORTANT: Make sure all parent categories mentioned in your bulk upload sheet have been added to the CMS before assigning subcategories through this spreadsheet
   
6. Go to the Bulk Upload tab
   
7. Upload your sheet
   
8. Review changes 
9. Publish your changes so you can add Locations to your Categories

Note: If the Category is not invisible or private, this will display them on your live map
