The Pending Queue is where all event submissions by base level users and Event Authors will be sent to await approval by an Event Admin before they are posted to the calendar. Platform Admins, Calendar Managers, Event Managers, Event Editors, or Trusted Users are allowed to publish their events immediately.
Approving a Submitted Event
Navigate to the Admin Dashboard > Events > Pending
Click on an event's name to view the event and make any desired changes
Check off "Approved" at the top of the form
Alternatively, you can Approve or Reject an event directly from the Pending listing:
|Selecting this button will approve the event and it will be immediately posted to the calendar.
|Clicking this button pops up a message form to send to the submitter to explain why an event has been rejected. A rejection message is not required to reject an event.
Pending Queue FAQ
Can I refine events in the Admin Dash by a date range?
By default, you will see all Live or Pending events in the Admin Dash. However, you now have the ability to refine those events with the following date range options:
- Next: year, 6 months, 30/14/7 days
- Last: year, 6 months, 30/14/7 days
Why can't X admin see Y events in their queue?
This is most likely due to Permissions. For example, if the admin is Allowed to a specific Filter, Group, and/or Department, then they'll only have permission to moderate events assigned to that Classification(s). If the event(s) in question do not have at least one of their Allowed Filters assigned to it, then they will not see it in their queue.
How do I receive a notification when there are events for me to approve?
At this time, while there is a Pending Digest that you can add your admins to receive, it displays all events in the Pending Queue, rather than taking into account specific Allowed/Excluded permissions. If you'd like to sign folks up for this digest, you can do so in your Admin Dashboard > Settings > Platform Settings > Pending Digest Email field.
What happens to past events in the Pending Queue?
If an event is added to your calendar, and it has a past date, it will be rejected automatically. Similarly, if a submitted event sits in the Pending Queue until its date is in the past, it will be automatically rejected within 24hrs.
