Create your own Looker Studio Report

Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) is a free data visualization tool from Google that allows you to create custom reports and dashboards from various data sources—including Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This guide will walk you through setting up a Looker Studio report to easily view key analytics for your Concept3D interactive map or 360º tour.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure:

  • Your GA4 ID is already integrated into your Concept3D map or tour.

  • You’ve set up a GA4 property with the correct custom dimensions needed to support the Looker Studio templates.

Set Up Your Report

1. Choose and open the appropriate Looker Studio report template: The following templates use sample data and are not meant to represent real scenario usage

2. Click “Copy Report.”
When prompted, select the GA4 property you set up for your map or tour.unnamed.png

3. Connect your data.
Once copied, the report will pull in your GA4 data and display it using the pre-built visualizations.

 

Customize Your Report (Optional)

Once your report is connected to your GA4 property, you can customize it to better fit your needs:

  • Edit charts or tables to highlight different metrics (e.g., event counts, user types, device types).
  • Add filters to focus on specific date ranges, locations, or interactions.
  • Change visual styles such as colors, fonts, or chart types to match your branding.
  • Add new pages to track other GA4 events or custom dimensions you’ve set up.

Looker Studio is highly flexible, so feel free to tailor the report to what matters most to your team. Just make sure you’re familiar with the structure of your GA4 property before making major changes.
