You're able to add a mini-calendar module to your homepage or any channel, which shows a full month view for selecting dates. This button can be added via the Channel Layout Editor by checking the box for Quick Access Date Selector on the Calendar Resources component. 

1. Open the Admin Dash and navigate to Content > Channels
2. Select the Filter Events: Calendar Resources component, or add it from the Add Component list if not already present
3. Check the box for Display Quick Access Date Selector on the Editing Component tab
4. Save Changes
