The Tour Stop Library is the account-level home for every tour stop in Tour Builder. Build a stop once, add it to as many tours as you need, and keep it in the library even when no tour is using it.
A reused stop still counts as one stop toward your plan limit. Editing a shared stop updates the draft everywhere it is used. Visitors see that change after you publish the stop from the Publish tab.
Find it in Tour Builder
Stop Library is in the header, next to Media Library and Publish.
How does the Tour Stop Library work?
Every stop belongs to the account
- The same stop can appear in more than one tour.
- A stop can exist in the library before anyone adds it to a tour.
- Removing a stop from a tour does not delete it from the account.
- Deleting a stop from the library is blocked while any tour still uses it.
Media still lives in the Media Library. Stops live in the Stop Library.
Search by name or use filters to find the stops you need
Filter by
- All stops
- In a tour
- Not in any tour
Sort by
- Newest
- Oldest
- A to Z
What each tile shows
Each tile shows Not in any tour, In 1 tour, or In "X" tours.
An Unpublished badge means changes are not live yet.
Create or edit a stop
Create a stop
- Open Stop Library.
- Select Create stop (or Create your first stop if the account has none).
- Build the stop the same way you would in a tour: name, media, description, hotspots, and additional media.
- Save. The stop stays on the account until you add it to a tour.
You can also use New Tour Stop inside a tour. Either path adds one library stop.
Stop-link hotspots need a tour so you can pick a target. That option is disabled in the library editor.
Edit a stop
- Open the stop from Stop Library or from a tour. It is the same stop either way.
- Select Edit stop, make your changes, and save.
If the stop is in more than one tour
The editor shows:
Used in {count} tour(s). Editing this stop changes it in every tour that uses it.
Save updates the draft. Visitors see the change after you publish the stop on the Publish tab. Publishing the tour does not publish stop content.
Translations
Translations for a shared stop are still edited from the tour translations screen, not from the library. Editing a translation from one tour updates it everywhere the stop is used.
Add an existing stop to a tour
- Open the tour and go to the Tour Stops tab.
- Next to New Tour Stop, select Existing Stop.
- Find the stop and select Add. Stops already in that tour are hidden from the list.
The stop is added at the end of the tour. Adding it does not use another stop credit. Publish the tour to make that membership change live.
Remove a stop from a tour vs delete it from the library
| Action | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Remove | Tour stop card | The stop leaves that tour and stays in the Stop Library, including its translations. |
| Delete stop | Stop Library details | The stop is removed from the account. This is blocked while any tour still uses it. |
Remove a stop from a tour
- On the Tour Stops tab, select Remove on the stop card.
- Confirm: "Are you sure you want to remove this stop from the tour?"
- Publish the tour so visitors no longer see that stop in this tour.
Delete a stop from the account
- Remove it from every tour that uses it, then publish those tours.
- Open the stop in Stop Library and select Delete stop.
- If a tour still uses it, Delete stop is blocked with: "Remove this stop from the tours using it before it can be deleted."
If the stop was already published
If the stop was never published, deleting it removes it from the account right away.
If visitors are already being served it, the deletion waits on the Publish tab. Until you publish that change, you can select Put stop back. The tile may also say: "Stop flagged for deletion. Confirm or revert in the Publish tab."

Plan limits
Your account still has a stop limit. The account stop limit counts each unique library stop once, whether it is published, unpublished, in a tour, or not in any tour.
- Creating a new stop uses one tour stop.
- Adding that same stop to another tour does not.
- Removing a stop from a tour does not free a credit.
- Deleting the stop from the library does.
FAQs
Does reusing a stop in another tour use another stop on my plan?
No. The stop counts once, no matter how many tours use it.
I edited a shared stop. Why don't visitors see it yet?
Save updates the draft. Publish the stop on the Publish tab. Publishing the tour is for add, remove, reorder, and tour settings only.
Can I keep a stop that is not in any tour?
Yes. Filter the library with Not in any tour. Those stops stay on the account until you add them to a tour or delete them.
I removed a stop from a tour. Where did it go?
It is still in the Stop Library. Removing it from a tour does not delete it.
Why can't I delete a stop?
A tour still uses it. Remove it from those tours, publish the tours, then use Delete stop in the library.
Can I add the same stop to one tour twice?
No. Stops already in the tour are hidden in Add an Existing Stop.
