Permission Required: Platform Admins, Calendar Managers, Bulletin Managers
Admins are able to embed a Subscribe Widget for a specific Bulletin Campaign on any Localist page, as well as any external webpage using an embed code. A couple of examples of great places to place this widget are:
External Use - If you are creating a Campaign of ALL upcoming events on your calendar, you can place a subscribe widget near the already existing "coming events" Widget on your homepage. That way, users can enter their name and email address right from your website.
Internal Use - If you plan on sending out Campaigns for specific Places on your platform. If you would like users to be able to subscribe to a Campaign of all events happening at the Art Museum, for example, you can place a Subscribe Widget on its Place Page and allow users interested in receiving this Campaign to enter their name and email address for future emails.
The Subscribe Widget button can be found on the Edit a Campaign page for any Campaign you create in Localist. You'll just click on the Subscribe Widget button on the top tool bar and then copy the embed code provided on to your desired page.
See the example below:
Here is an example of what the Widget will look like on the page:
How does the unsubscribe feature work?
If you select Allow Unsubscribe when creating your campaign, this will allow users to choose to unsubscribe from the Campaign. This will be visible on the bottom of Campaign email. If a user wishes to re-subscribe, they can do so using the method above, or added manually by an admin.
