What is Wayfinding 2.0?
Our wayfinding 2.0 upgrade is designed to eliminate “navigation frustration” in complex environments, including campuses, venues, and stadiums making them more accessible for all users. The improved user interface is more intuitive and streamlined, providing a better experience aligned with user expectations.
Wayfinding 2.0 enabled in the CMS
Wayfinding 2.0 has been enabled in your Content Management System (CMS) for you to update routes in the CMS and preview the changes without enabling the new Wayfinding/Directions experience on the front end map.
To ensure the best directions, a couple of changes have been made to the nodes of your current wayfinding:
- Ensured all buildings have building entry nodes
- Ensured all sharp corners not connected to 2 or more nodes are turned into instruction node
Example node that has been made into an instruction node
Reviewing & Route Validation
In order to test/review routes prior to enabling, you can use the preview mode in the CMS to share a link for up to 30 days. Access this through these easy steps:
1. Log into the CMS
2. Navigate to the "Routes" tab
3. Select the "Preview" button. This will open a link in a new window that allows you to test the Wayfinding 2.0 front end experience.
How to make Route Changes
If you would like to make any changes to the wayfinding nodes, follow the steps included here.
